Learn What You Love

Student-led Learning

Ascent Academy’s newest campus needed help getting the attention of parents in the area — but how do you convince them that charter school is better than a free public education?

You don’t. You let the students tell the story.

The strategy for this campaign was simple: instead of the boring talking head videos Ascent had always done, let’s let current students talk about how much they love school. Then we’ll let the faculty share how their student-led curriculum inspires creativity and adaptive learning — two things we know parents want for their children in an AI-dominated future. So we set up a few cameras and let the magic unfold.

Because Ascent uses a learning model that allows young minds to choose some of their own projects, kids get to “learn what they love.” We took that concept to video and let a group of students write, direct, and star in their own commercial — reinforcing the idea that when children get dive into what they actually care about, they’re so much more invested in the material.

The above video was our anchor piece of content that drove web traffic by 177% and inbound tour inquiries by over 200%.
